Why did the series, "Dead Like Me", quit only after two years? The show had a good supporting cast.

It wasn't getting enough viewers to offset the cost per episode was what I remember reading back when it got the axe. Too bad because it was a good original show. Oh wait - it was original..... Too bad that the public doesn't seem to take to new and different things most of the time. That explains the re-treads of retreads of retreads that come on every year like the current crop of "reality" shows and game shows. Blech!

That is too sad to hear. Dead Like Me was a good show. It never focused on "political" story plots. The show was funny, edgy and made you think about life. The characters were of different ages, which gave the show a different spin on things. I suppose since no one was LOST, or busy being a SURVIVOR or trying to be the next AMERICAN IDOL, it never captured the younger age group. In my opinion, reality shows need to go along the roadside. I miss good, old fashioned movies that make me laugh, cry, etc. Thank you for your reply to my question.

RIP..DEAD LIKE ME..RIP
The really good cable shows never get the chances they deserve.
The wost part is that FAT ACTRESS is the show that pushed DLM off the air.

I liked the movie a lot, not true closure without Mandy Patankin but it was really nice to see the cast again. I hope Showtime resurrects the series.
