Hey guys, what are your favorite shows on HBO, Showtime, IFC, or Starz if you like Crash?
Here's my list
The Sopranos - naturally
Oz - my third favorite show of all time, took a show about prison and made it one the best dramas ever.
The Wire - my fourth favorite show of all time, though it was probably the best written and acted show ever to air on TV. So real it's scary.
Six Feet Under - Another show from HBO's golden era, superb acting and great story lines.
Curb Your Enthusiasm - I was always a big Seinfeld fan but Curb is a great show in its own right. Larry David is great
Deadwood - I never quite got over that the Deadwood TV movies aren't being made. A lot of swearing but another show that's so real it makes you feel like you're there.
Carnivale - Another show I was bummed about when it was cancelled. I helped for a bit on the save Carnivale campaign, the last time I ever did one of those.
Showtime
Stargate SG-1 - people sometimes forget that Stargate got its start on Showtime. A classic sci-fi show that never ceased to entertain me each week.
Dead Like Me - I'm glad there's a straight to dvd movie being made because 29 episodes was not enough of this great show.
The Tudors - I didn't think season 2 was as great as season 1 but still a great show
Dexter - my favorite show currently airing on TV. Michael C. Hall made a great transformation from homosexual funeral director to blood splatter analyst serial killer. Anyone who hasn't seen Dexter should check it out.
Weeds - I don't think Weeds is as great as it was when it started but still gives me a good laugh. Nothing beats Mary Louise Parker beating about four of the Desperate Housewives women at the 2006 Golden Globes for Best Actress.
