Is reality Tv finally dying? It seems that there is less now, and they aren't doing as well as they did a few years ago.

I've been waiting to read the obituary of Reality TV for a long time now. Sadly, with the economy in the tank, the low-cost nature of reality versus scripted programming will likely mean we have to wait even longer for a boom in new scripted shows.
CBS Monday nights is about the only comedy bright spot along with a few other spots. I never committed to any of the 1-hour dramas on the networks so, apart from the odd episode of Without A Trace, cop/lawyer/hospital shows have been a wasteland personally.
Sad days for the main networks.

It's interesting because the juggernauts like Survivor, American Idol, The Bachelor, and The Amazing Race are still around but most of the knock offs have died off. Good riddance.
